We all have learned to overcome challenges but, right now we are facing a challenge that won’t be easy to overcome. Covid- 19 has had an impact on everyone. Everyone feels differently about the pandemic, everyone learned many things from the pandemic. For me, I was very upset about the pandemic at first but, I had to accept the challenge of adapting to life with it. Some of the things I learnt is that less is more and sharing is caring. It was difficult to accept that I can’t meet my friends because the pandemic would get worse.  Another thing I learned that we need to be flexible and be able to adapt things to our schedule.

Even though we are at home all day, I developed new hobbies. One of them is going on a walk everyday. Now that we are at home I walk one mile everyday. This helps maintain good health. Another thing is chatting with my friends on a daily basis like I would do at school. I was able to see my classmates virtually using Microsoft Teams. Also I used Zoom for classes like VSS, Piano and others. Along with that I started following news, statistics and work done by the New York State Government. I also talked to my grandparents more frequently as India is also in Lockdown like many other countries. It again taught us that family is the most important thing.

Just because we are at home doesn’t mean that we forget all the things we can do and we will do. Covid – 19 taught us all countless things, this pandemic broke through racism, nationalities, caste systems, and wealth. Everyone should learn from it. Finally, we should stay strong and never lose hope and faith in ourselves.
